With over a decade of professional experience across art, psychotherapy, and community-based work, I have devoted my career to understanding emotional life through both creative and psychological perspectives. My path has included extensive study, clinical training, and continued professional development in art therapy, trauma-informed care, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
My work is informed by advanced training in Object Relations Theory and Practice through the International Psychotherapy Institute (IPI), deepening my understanding of emotional life, relationships, trauma, and unconscious processes. I am interested in how early experiences, relationships, and life circumstances shape the ways we experience ourselves and connect with others.
I work with adults, adolescents, and children from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, difficulties related to identity and self-esteem, relational or family challenges, grief and loss, and major life transitions.
I view therapy as a collaborative process and aim to offer a thoughtful, respectful space where clients can explore emotional difficulties with curiosity and care. Together, we may begin to understand how past experiences shape present emotional patterns, relationships, and self-perception, creating opportunities for greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and renewed vitality.
Depending on each client’s needs, preferences, and goals, sessions may involve verbal psychotherapy, art therapy, or an integration of both. I see clients in person in Herndon, Virginia, and offer virtual sessions.
